Wave Telecom acquires Newtel Guernsey Limited

Isle News, 26 August 2009 – Wave Telecom, part of JT Group Limited, has announced the acquisition of Newtel Guernsey Limited, including Newtel Data Services Limited & GuernseyNet Limited.

This acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approvals, strengthens Wave Telecom’s position in the Bailiwick of Guernsey and further enhances Wave’s breadth of services aimed at both business and residential customers.

Tim Ringsdore, Managing Director of Wave Telecom said “In recent months our companies have been working together to support local and international business and I see this acquisition as a natural step that will help us to develop new business into the Bailiwick of Guernsey and better support local customers.”

Mr Ringsdore continued “Wave Telecom has invested significantly in the Bailiwick of Guernsey since entering the market in 2002 and we will continue to do so with the next phase of investment being a multi-million pound expansion to the current hosting facility.”
