STREET HERITAGE ANNOUNCES ISLE OF MAN BAY FESTIVAL SPONSORS
Isle News, 2 June 2009 – Street Heritage, the organisers of the 2010 Isle of Man Bay Music Festival, are delighted to announced that Manx Telecom will be the official sponsor of the 2010 event.
In addition, Manx Radio has been named as official media partner for the three-day festival which is being held between 18th and 20th June 2010.
The event’s official title will now be ‘Manx Telecom presents the Isle of Man Bay Music Festival, in association with Manx Radio.’
Festival Director Jonathan Irving said: “I am absolutely delighted we have joined forces with two of the island’s best known household names. The combined skills of Manx Telecom, Manx Radio and Street Heritage coming together in partnership will help deliver an even greater experience than was enjoyed in 2007, and thousands said last time that that was very hard to beat!
“Plans for the event are progressing very rapidly and we have had a lot of support from local residents who are very excited about the 2010 festival. There is obviously a lot of hard work to do yet, but this is a major step forward.”
Manx Telecom Managing Director Chris Hall said that the company was delighted to give their support.
“The festival will be a real community event and it is fantastic that a community company like Manx Telecom is able to give islanders something they can really enjoy,” he said.
As the official media partner, Manx Radio will deliver the very latest news about the Isle of Man Bay Festival, and will help to bring the artists closer to Manx residents.
Manx Radio’s Business Development Director, John Marsom, commented: “The festival will be the biggest music event in the Isle of Man next year and, as the island’s largest radio station, we are delighted to be associated with it.
“We saw from the incredible success of Peel Bay in 2007 that there is a huge demand for events like this on the island. For many people, it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of their favourite artists perform and we will be able to give them exclusive access to the musicians and the very latest festival news.”
