SEFTON LUXURY SUITES NEARING COMPLETION

Sefton Group LogoIsle News, 16 March 2009 – The Sefton new nine luxury suites are now in the final stages of fitting out and will be open for TT 2009.  The investment in the suites is part of a multi-million pound investment programme which has been taking place in the hotel over the last four years. This investment which has included the creation of Sir Normans Bar, a complete refurbishment of The Gallery Restaurant, a refresh of its leisure facilities, spa and swimming pool as well as significant investments in its bedrooms and public areas.

The nine suites have been purpose built from the ground up with the whole concept of luxury from every angle and aim to set the benchmark for a five star experience in the hotel environment on the island.  Chief Operating Officer of the Sefton Group, Mark Lewin, commented: “This is part of a significant investment across not just the Sefton Hotel, but our whole group in the Hospitality, Leisure and Property Divisions, and I am delighted that we will complete these superb facilities in readiness for June.   Over the last 10 years there has been a continued change in the pattern of visitors to the island as the Island has continued to evolve into an international finance and diverse business centre.  We have listened to our customers and their desire to have a five star experience within a hotel environment on the island and the suites are the direct result of this feedback.”

David Woodiwiss, Director of Hotel Food and Beverage Division commented:  “To give you a feeling of what these suites are like, the average floor area is 900 square feet which is much larger than the size of a typical 1 bedroom apartment.   From a raised platform in front of the panoramic bay windows, through to Italian custom made catering facilities, luxurious wet area with deluge showers, Jacuzzi spas and integrated TVs, and the sumptuous bedrooms, every attention has been paid to creating the wow factor.  We have been fortunate to secure the services of a local interior designer who has significant experience from London and further a field and she has been able to focus on the fine furnishings to create a range of designs across the suites from Victorian and Edwardian, right through to Contemporary and Modern so there is a real choice for our guests, and all of this is rounded off with the latest in Bang and Olufsen TV and audio equipment, satellite facilities, full wifi access, mood/scene setting lighting and private/secure video entry systems.”

“We are also investing in a new Board Room on the ground floor with the latest in visual presentation and video conferencing capability and dedicated private dining areas.  I am delighted at the response so far – whilst we are still eight to 10 weeks away from completion, we already have a great deal of interest being shown and are actively taking bookings for the suites, in particular from our corporate clients for their visitors.”
