PDMS LIMITED APPOINTS NEW BID MANAGER

Isle News, 1 May 2009 – Shaun Morgan Joins Leading Software Development Firm

PDMS Limited, the Island’s largest software developer, has appointed Shaun Morgan as its bid manager, it was announced today.

Shaun works with PDMS’ directors to manage the tendering process; preparing and submitting bids to provide IT solutions to public sector bodies in the Isle of Man, the UK and further afield. His key responsibilities include identifying opportunities, preparing key documentation and liaising with technical specialists and third party partners. Shaun also supports the business development and marketing functions.

“The role allows me to bring my management experience in education to benefit PDMS and our clients,” said Shaun Morgan. “I’m proud to contribute to developing PDMS’s business in the public sector, a market where PDMS has an excellent reputation, and I look forward to playing a part in the company’s continual growth.”

Shaun completed a BA degree in Education Studies before achieving an MSc in Education Leadership and Management, both from Manchester Metropolitan University. He also holds a National Professional Qualification (NPQH) for Headship from the National College for School Leadership. He is currently studying for a Doctorate in Education with the University of Derby.

Shaun’s first book “So You Want To Be A School Leader?” was published last year, and he is now working on another book promoting social mobility and inclusion. Shaun is an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Management.

Director, Bruce McGregor says: “Shaun’s wide ranging experience in both business and education are already proving invaluable to PDMS. His academic and educational interests will provide an extra dimension to our services.”

Outside of work, Shaun enjoys seeing the Island’s countryside walking his dog and does a lot of DIY. He and his wife, Sarah, have recently welcomed a new baby son who is keeping him very busy.
