More tickets released for award winning show – Cabaret

Due to huge public demand, the Gaiety Theatre has released more tickets for evening performances of Cabaret starring Wayne Sleep and the Isle of Man’s own Samantha Barks.

Isle News, 16 February 2009 – Margaret Jones, General Manager for the Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre said, “We have received phenomenal interest in Cabaret since it was announced that it would be coming to the Island. With just a few weeks until the opening show, we wanted to make sure that everyone who wanted to come and see the show would have the opportunity to do so.”

Tickets for the Gaiety Theatre amphitheatre are on sale for evening performances on 3rd, 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th March priced £20 per ticket; making them the best value tickets available. It is anticipated that these tickets will sell very quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Cabaret, a Double Olivier Award Winner and Variety Club Awards ‘Best Musical’, turns Weimar Berlin of 1931 into a sassy, sizzling haven of decadence. And at its heart is the legendary Sally Bowles (played by Samantha Barks), who performs nightly at the infamous Kit Kat Klub in ‘a shimmering masterpiece of a show guaranteed night after night!’

Since its Broadway premiere in 1966 and the famous movie version, with Liza Minnelli, Michael York and Joel Grey, CABARET has won a staggering number of stage and screen awards including 8 Oscars, 7 BAFTAs and 13 Tonys.
