Microgaming supports team member who participated in the Island Games

Isle News, 14 July 2009 – Microgaming has further shown its commitment to staff development , not just in the workplace but in recreational activities, by sponsoring the Isle of Man’s medal winning Badminton Team. The Team comprises of Microgaming employee John Quinn, Matt Wilkinson, Nicola Wilkinson, Danny O’Hare, Kim Clague, Neil Harding, Cristan Callow and Jonny Callow.

The Badminton Team recently competed in the week long Island Games in Äland where they achieved their most successful haul of medals at the Island Games to date, coming away with a total of five Bronze medals.

Team member John Quinn says: “The kit being sponsored by Microgaming has meant that we have been able to concentrate on training and preparation for Äland without the added pressure of needing additional funds from other sources. We are extremely grateful for the support that Microgaming has provided – it reflects the passion and commitment that the company displays towards employees and sporting events on the Island”.

Upcoming matches for the team include the County League in the UK starting late September with the team also taking part in the Badminton England satellite tour in the UK, and an invitational in Minorca in Summer 2010.
