JERSEY TELECOM GROUP NEW CHAIRMAN

Isle News, 22 April 2009 – Jersey Telecom Group has today announced that John Boothman will succeed John Henwood who stands down as Chairman of the Group at the end of June after completing six years as its inaugural chairman following incorporation in 2003.

Nigel Horne, chairman of the JTG Nomination Committee said, “In recognition of our corporate governance obligations we held a rigorous recruitment competition and I am pleased to announce that John Boothman has accepted the offer made by the Board to take up the position of Chairman when John Henwood steps down.”

John Boothman said, “I am delighted to be taking over from John Henwood and to be following on from the excellent job he has done. He led the organisation through the incorporation process and has overseen an incredible amount of change over the past six years.  The company now operates in highly competitive markets in Jersey and Guernsey and we have exciting ambitions to grow the business outside of our traditional geographical area. I am looking forward to the challenge of leading the company through an era of unprecedented technological change and to working with my Board colleagues and our employees to continue delivering excellent service to our customers and shareholder value to the States of Jersey.”
