ITEX ISLE OF MAN APPOINTS NEW SALES MANAGER
Isle News, 11 March 2009 – Itex Isle of Man has extended its team in the Isle of Man by appointing one of the island’s most highly-regarded IT professionals as Sales Manager.
Ben Wood has joined the UK’s largest offshore IT services company from a similar role at Skanko, where he spent 12 years of his career after graduating from the University of Sunderland with a business degree.
Ben, who is 34, has a wealth of experience in business and technology sales in the Isle of Man, and is a respected industry authority. In his previous role, he managed the IT needs of 25 of the island’s blue chip financial services businesses. He is also experienced in servicing the needs of a large number of private companies, Government departments, data centres and emerging e-Business companies.
As a highly-qualified and well-respected IT professional, Ben is well-placed to lead the Sales Team at one of the Isle of Man’s most experienced offshore IT services providers. He holds a range of industry-standard certifications and a technical understanding of products offered by companies including Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Citrix, VMWare, Symantec and IBM.
Itex provides independent advice and IT solutions to companies based in the offshore world including consultancy, design and delivery, through to ongoing operational management and support. Ben’s primary focus with Itex will be to lead its sales team, and develop the use of expert technology for local companies including those in the e-gaming and finance sectors.
