AARON BEGINS HIS SURE APPRENTICE
Isle News, 25 August 2009 – Aaron Kelly, winner of the ‘Sure Apprentice’ competition, has begun work for the telecoms company.
The 17 year old, who will begin his final year of Sixth Form at Ballakermeen School in September, is currently working on a market research project for Sure, alongside gaining some valuable retail experience in the company’s store on Strand Street, Douglas.
As part of his apprenticeship, Aaron will be publishing a ‘Business Blog’ charting his experience of working in a corporate environment for the first time. He commented: “I was very nervous on my first morning spent with Sure, as I have never worked in a corporate environment before. It is a really relaxed environment, and really interesting to see how all of the different parts of the business work alongside each other.
“This is such a valuable experience for me because I am learning so much and doing a lot of practical tasks, like my research project, that I would never normally get the chance to do. I am very grateful to Sure for this opportunity.”
